Alexsa Donoghue

Associate Paraplanner

Every so often, an individual takes an industry by storm and pushes existing levels up to a higher standard. Alexsa Donoghue is that individual. Alexsa works under the guidance of award-winning financial advisor/managing partner Joseph T. Covill and financial advisor Kristen Kania.

As an associate paraplanner, Alexsa helps prepare the backend research needed for the subsequent meetings of lead financial advisors and their clients. This includes preparing financial analyses as well as financial plans for the specific needs of clients. Alexsa also conducts investment research reports, and assists with the analysis, rebalancing, and administration of client investment portfolios. Alexsa has expert knowledge of the important software used to collect pertinent data and provides customer support for the client’s processing needs, ensuring a smooth experience.

What makes Alexsa such a force to be reckoned with is that she does all of this while attending Central Connecticut State University full time and maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She also passed the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam during this time. She is currently studying for her Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.

Alexsa has the unique ability to be completely thorough, organized, and learn quickly regardless of the task or topic she approaches. She knows at the beginning what her goal is, and by her determination to succeed, it is not a surprise that she accomplishes whatever she sets her mind to.

Her superb customer service skills were learned from her job as a server and hostess. Then she turned a hobby into a part-time business reselling high-end clothes online, which led Alexsa to the importance of being organized and practicing due diligence.

She enjoys paying it forward by volunteering at the New Britain YMCA on Thanksgiving. Born and raised in West Hartford, Alexsa’s hobbies include cooking with her boyfriend, meditation, organizing following The Home Edit method, and practicing Melissa Wood Health fitness.
